Since July 2003, he has also assumed the artistic direction. He is responsible for the programming and all artistic decisions. In November 2007, during the ceremonies in honour of excellence of Arts and Culture in the City of Québec, he was awarded the Prix de la Fondation de l’Orchestre symphonique de Québec in recognition of the excellence of his contribution to the development of classical music in the greater Québec region. During the 2009 edition of these same awards, the Opéra de Québec was awarded the Ville de Québec Prize for having succeeded in bringing the Plácido Domingo World Opera Festival to Québec in 2008. This prize was created to acknowledge the effort and underscore the excellent work of a professional cultural organization. Janvier 2010 |
